The United Nations on Tuesday deplored the military takeover in Burkina Faso and called for the immediate release of President Roch Marc Christian Kabore and other top officials.

“We call on the military to immediately release President Roch Marc Christian Kabore and other high-level officials who have been detained. We urge a swift return to constitutional order,” spokeswoman Ravina Shamdasani told reporters in Geneva.

Democracy isn't perfect but better than military ruling. Children of today doesn't know the havoc these men wrecked on this continent. I'm not sure what qualify them to be a better administrator. Just because they are in charge of arsenal doesn't mean they're better leaders.

UN free the president or what? BFA is not Russia. If democracy does not work, let them try out autocracy/dictatorship. By now, you must know not all countries can operate under a democratic govt, especially with the special breed of politicians we have in Africa.

This UN self, I wonder what they are doing.. When these useless Presidents makes life miserable 4 the citizens, committing genocides, using the same soldiers to kill unarmed citizens, they won't talk then, but when the presidents are picked up, then they open their useless mouth.
