Some gunmen suspected to be Fulani herdsmen have reportedly kidnapped a pregnant woman with about 10 travellers by the Development Union Roundabout in Oleh, headquarters of the Isoko South Local Government Area of Delta State.
One of the victims, who is a commercial driver, told SaharaReporters how he narrowly escaped from the kidnappers, noting that the herdsmen attacked the travellers in their large numbers. "While we were going, I decided to take my chance, I sneaked and hid under the bushes, nobody saw me until I crawled to the road and drove off.
"My Sienna car with nine passengers was the third vehicle they attacked; two vehicles were already packed before mine," he added.
