During a press conference in Lagos, the Chairman, NIESV, Lagos State branch, Adedotun Bamigbola, said the branch had made progress in research and capacity development as he had promised in 2019.
He said seven major areas of Lagos from the mainland to the island had been classified for data compilation. The chairman also said the association had technical reports to aid government’s intervention in some areas such as the Abule Ode explosion.“We have already started consulting with stakeholders at Abule Ode since the past two weeks after the ease of the lockdown.”
He said, “Newly initiated programmes such as the students’ workplace experience and capacity building programmes like the heads of practice business forum and the mandatory continuous professional development were held with pointers to existing areas of practice for our members.”
