The lawyer, who spoke with The Guardian on phone, however, warned those “flying the kite” to desist from spreading such speculations.
He said: “The youths are restless and always incited by Diasporans. My advice to them is not to do it violently. It leads to nowhere than death of kith and kin. We are Yoruba. We have native intelligence and knowledge of law. “Chief Sunday Adeyemo, also known as ‘Igboho Oosa,’ is not under any threat to his life to my knowledge. I don’t have knowledge of a threat to his life.
“However, if somebody is flying the kite to see what will happen if he is murdered, the person should have a rethink. To avoid sabotage by Fifth Columnists and enemies of this government, I advise President Muhammadu Buhari and all Yoruba ministers and legislators to free Igboho now.”
