The event aimed to address period poverty, initiate crucial conversations, raise awareness, and propose tailored solutions for the Nigerian context. She emphasised the need for action, stating, “Women have either been ignored or regulated in the conversation about period poverty. It is time to take action and establish pathways for better access to menstrual hygiene products. It is time to create a new normal for young girls and women because menstrual health is essential to overall well-being.

Safety For Every Girl Foundation remains dedicated to empowering women and girls by hosting pivotal events like the Period Summit and regularly reaching out to challenged communities across Nigeria’s six geopolitical zones.
