Five children have been reportedly killed by a ‘strange disease’ spreading in Kafanchan, headquarters of Jama’a LGA of Kaduna.

The affected children, who were between the age of two, three, four and 13 years, were said to have experienced pains around their necks and loss of appetite.Confirming the development to TheCable on Thursday, Kate Edim, spokesperson of the Kaduna state ministry of health, said the infection is currently being investigated.Edim said the ministry has received information about the strange disease, adding that a team was deployed to Kafanchan on Wednesday for sample collection.

“The ministry had sent a team to Kafanchan yesterday to take samples. We are still awaiting the results,” she said.Advertisement
