The group, Patriots for the Promotion of Black Culture Foundation (PPBCF), has called on filmmakers in Nollywood

The group, Patriots for the Promotion of Black Culture Foundation , has called on filmmakers in Nollywood to desist from misrepresenting African traditional religion and culture in films.

“Traditional religion was perfectly practised before the advent of Christianity and Islam in Nigeria. It is not in line with traditional religion to cut people’s head for money rituals as being portrayed in films. Also, witchcraft is not synonymous with traditional religion. In the bustling Marian Market in Calabar, the capital of Cross River State, many traders face numerous challenges as they navigate a risky environment. A story of struggle and perseverance unravels as market women such as Mrs. Blessing Iqwo, a tomato and pepper seller, deal with these challenges.

There are several things on my mind drawn from my piece last week. Reluctantly, but very importantly, I return to the issue of State Sports Associations and their place in the structure of Nigerian sports administration.
