Sokoto governor urges scholars, Ulamas on decent preaching

has called on Islamic preachers and Ulamas in the state to focus more on preaching the basics of the religion and avoid sensational messages and preaching capable of inciting the public.

The governor made the remarks on Friday, May 31, at the inauguration of the renovated and upgraded Malam Musa Lukuwa Juma’at mosque in Mabera Area Sokoto. “Is top and next to the issue of security among the 9-points smart agenda of our administration. We are also aware that the state is ranked among the northwest states experiencing insecurity due to banditry activities which we are resilient towards bringing an end to the menace.

The Juma’at mosque renovated to a more modern standard with adjourning facilities at the cost of over N139 million can accommodate a large number of worshippers at a time.
