Slash Buhari, Osinbajo, Govs, NASS members’ jumbo allowances – SERAP asks court

The Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project has urged an Abuja Federal High Court to slash the “jumbo” allowances of President Muhammadu Buhari, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, National Assembly members and state governors.

Kolawole Oluwadare, SERAP Deputy Director, explained that the action would reduce disparity among political office-holders and judicial officers. SERAP urged the court “to order the Revenue Mobilization Allocation and Fiscal Commission and the National Salaries, Incomes and Wages Commission to perform their statutory functions to review downward the remuneration and allowances of President Muhammadu Buhari, Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo, 36 governors and members of the National Assembly.

Even if it’s slashed, doesn’t make a difference. They’ll still take it from the source using other means.

NIGERIA is finished Nigeria is dead Nigeria is gone No NIGERIA ReferendumNow

I don't know the problem of SERAPNigeria just making noise everywhere. Is SERAPNigeria not aware that Buhari and Osinbajo are collecting half of their pay?

SERAPNigeria is a very useless civil society organization. How many times would Buhari & Osinbajo slash salaries? Kukuma tell them not to earn kobo again nah. Concentrate on your governors & lawmakers, stop fiddling about like a Grant toddler
