Shettima, Zulum, others pray in Maiduguri

Vice President Kashim Shettima , Borno State Governor Babagana Zulum and National Vice Chairman of All Progressives Congress , Ali Dalori, attended the two Eid prayers in Maiduguri, Borno State, yesterday.

MEANWHILE, Zulum has called on citizens of the state to intensify prayers for the total restoration of peace in Borno and other parts of the country. KOGI State Governor, Ahmed Ododo, has enjoined the people of the state to work together to ensure peaceful coexistence among diverse interests.In his Eid-el-Fitr message, yesterday, to the citizens, the Kogi governor restated his commitment to the security of lives and property. He called on those fanning the embers of discord to desist from their unpatriotic tendencies, stressing his administration’s unwavering resolve to deal with the recent upsurge of insecurity in parts of the state.

Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, has said that Nigeria is on the verge of recovering from its economic challenges as a result of the prayers offered by Nigerians during the Lent and Ramadan fasting. National Civil Society Council of Nigeria has advocated a one-year tax waiver for Air Peace along the Lagos-London route as the pricing war among airline operators in Nigeria persists.
