Speaker of the House, Femi Gbajabiamila described the rise in these cases as sick, despicable and ungodly act which cuts across all gender. The house was reacting to a motion of urgent public importance by Representative Rotimi Agunsoye, on the need to condemn the rising cases of sexual violence and other social vices against women and police brutality.
The house also urged the Federal Government to launch a more effective campaign against rape and other violence against women and girls.

I don’t feel law should be implemented on this issue of rape because it has happened in past years it’s just that Families and people as a whole can no longer condole it anymore....... sex education, Parental Guidelines to their own children because we don’t know he future...

Am also against the bill, how will yu castrate your fellow human when will all know women are evil... Once it is done it can't be replace back. And even if I must support the bill life imprisonment should be given to any indecent dressing to women
Castration is a no no for me...it's dehumanizing ,but rape with murder should be a life sentence. Make we no forget Right to life as a fundamental human right
This actually shows that we have backward barbaric politicians in the house of representatives. Who proposed the bill in the first place? This was abolished since ancient China, we are here in Nigeria 2020 proposing the idea.

Why not, if a mature man rapes a child, he should be castrated. If it is amongst mature adults 15 years jail minimum and a sex offender classification on their driver license, national ID and passport.

Rape = Physical and Mental assault. Life in imprisonment in case of a child victim, 25 years in case out adult victim. Most importantly financial compensation to the victim no less than the GDP/Capita until retirement age of the victim. Vise-versa for false accusations.
Indeed,but one thing that the whole country forget to notice.lockdown with out proper arrangements would attract many crime.but at least a whistle blower for crime control could been invented.second almost 12,000 beneficiaries are unable to receive their stipend since March.

Pls let's not forget both sexes are vulnerable. How do we explain the case of aunties who molest little boys and teenagers? Some big aunties even molest their nieces. This rape fight shdn't be gender biased. A lot of men are also crying and shouting inside.
