Senator Kalu in a terse statement forwarded to DAILY POST on Saturday, listed the dilapidated roads as Umuahia-Uzuakoli, Akara-Alayi, Igbere-Item and Abiriba-Ohafia roads.
The ex-Abia Governor also dismissed the insinuations that the deplorable road roads are federal Infrastructure, insisting that they are state Infrastructure. According to him, “Despite not falling into my senatorial role, I had initially appropriated One Billion Naira as part of the 2021 capital project, but the Federal Ministry of works is yet to take action on it.
“When I was Governor, I built the road and maintained it. Ever since I left, there has been no new investment on the road despite being one of the busiest roads in Abia”, he added. Kalu further called on the State Governor to ease off the stress on that road by taking urgent action on it.
Since 1999, the only Eastern state with least performing Govs. Very unfortunate. Avians should resist continuity of these lazy and unfocused leaders. Abia has the set of bad roads, despite commanding one of the largest markets in West Africa.
Coming from a criminal who spent his entire tenure stealing state funds
Abia state is cursed from the root with bad leadership except OUK.Ikpeazu is sent from hell to bury the state and he has succeded. Sad indeed 😢
Yeye!
This guy's a perfect human specimen for a research on how the human mind conjures fraudulent acts. He donated 250k to the Maiduguri govt which turned out to be well cut pieces of papers of currency size; he ruled Abia for 8 yrs without any achievement. He ought to be in jail now.
Why didn't you fix the roads when u where in power?
Road is a long term project, imagine if he had fixed the road while he was a governor... Anyway, sometimes they don't mean what they're saying but just wants to be talked about
Ikpeazu is only following your footsteps and that of Theodore Orji of non performance and corruption
Kalu that was making roads on billboards ?
