, the national Chairman of the party, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole and the leader of the party, Chief Ahmed Bola Tinubu to support their son, Sen. Ovie Omo-Agege for the position of the Deputy Senate President at the red chamber of the national assembly. The group in a statement by the Chairman, Deacon Philips Seikebiboe and Secretary, Amb. Kelvin Erhiurhoro, after an enlarged meeting held in Warri, Delta state, emphasized that the role played by Sen.

The statement had revealed that such person like Omo-Agege who could not hide his love for the president, but rather went through rigorous time, battling to survive persecution, suspension and attack, should not be considered twice before he is nominated or be given a full backing for the Deputy Senate President’s position that he is vying for.

The statement further disclosed that all Omo-Agege is presently facing in the 8th assembly were not for personal course, but for the perceived anger from his colleagues that he was supporting the president, which election he eventually won in landslide, which is today has become history, but he is being hunt for by those against Buhari’s emergence.

The group said, “Nevertheless, we are not political group, but, since the position had come to South-south region of the state, it is our duty too to look beyond and do our findings and recommend an illustrious son from the Niger Delta, Sen. Ovie Omo-Agege, whose pedigree is worthy of note and fits to stand the position of the Deputy Senate President.
