Senate on Wednesday moved to consider the confirmation of Dr. Isitua Obiora as the Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN.
Other appointees are Professor Adeolu Akande as Chairman; and Uche Onwude as member of the Nigerian Communications Commission, NCC. Besides, Musa Nuhu, who was appointed as Director-General of the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority was among those to be confirmed by the upper chamber. Senate President, Ahmad Lawan has referred President Muhammadu Buhari’s request for their confirmations to the Senate Committees on Banking, Insurance and Other Financial Institutions, Communications and Aviation for further legislative work.
