SEC defeat CBN to win 2021 financial institutions' football cup

The Securities and Exchange Football Club has won this year’s All Financial Institutions Football Competition.

SEC FC defeated the Central Bank of Nigeria Football Club 4 – 2 on penalties at the U.J. Esuene Stadium in Calabar to emerge champions of the 34th edition of the competition. The match ended goalless after 90 minutes and went straight into penalties with SEC FC scoring four penalties while CBN FC scored two kicks and missed two.

The final match which kicked off at about 3:15 pm on Saturday was graced by supporters of both sides as well as officials of the Nigeria Football Federation.
