JANET OGUNDEPO, GODFREY GEORGE, DAUD OLATUNJI, PATRICK ODEY, CHIMA AZUBUIKE, MAIHARAJI ALTINE and DELE OGUNYEMIThe Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo, his counterpart from Ogun and Akwa Ibom State, Dapo Abiodun and Udom Emmanuel, have expressed the need for Nigerians to embrace peace and be hopeful that Nigeria would surmount her current challenges.

He was quoted in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Gboyega Akosile, a copy of which was sent to our correspondent, to have said, “My message to Lagosians this day is to say that the strength in our unity is stronger than any other things. Similarly, the Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, called on Nigerians not to lose hope, saying, the current challenges facing the nation would soon be a thing of the past.

“God has kept us alive despite the raging COVID-19 pandemic. We should continue to celebrate and be thankful despite our challenges. It will make us resolve to press forward in the new year.
