The Lagos State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party has expressed optimism that the party will win the 2023 general election with the choice of Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta State as the running mate of the party’s presidential candidate, former Vice President Atiku Abubakar.

The Chairman of Lagos PDP, Philip Aivoji, according to a statement on Thursday, disclosed this during a chat with journalists at the party’s secretariat in Ikeja, Lagos. Aivoji described Okowa as a man of integrity with much-needed experience having served as a senator and two terms as governor of Delta State, adding that he was a trusted and tested leader.
