Rotary Club Of Onigbongbo

No Fewer than 600 residents of Irawo, Owode, Ajegunle and Ikorodu Road, recently, benefitted from the three-day health week organised by Rotary Club of Onigbongbo in collaboration with Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, under the leadership of its President, Babatunde Razaq Salau.

According to Salau, the three-day health screening was carried out on several ailments, including blood sugar, high blood pressure, malaria and eye check. It also featured the scaling and polishing of teeth. Persons were given drugs for their ailments.

Salau also remarked that the yearly programme afforded the club a forum to give health tips to the residents. He disclosed that the exercise, which could be described as very successful judging by the large turnout of beneficiaries, was held twice this Rotary year. The police in the Federal Capital Territory on Saturday deployed its personnel to the popular Banex Market in Wuse district to forestall a crisis after a group of suspected thugs attacked soldiers in uniform at the area.
