In an attempt to scare the mob, one of the robbers fired shots into the air but mistakenly hit his colleague on the head. The witnesses said policemen from the Okitipupa Police Division recovered two guns and a bag snatched from the POS operator from the dead robber even as the fleeing colleagues were later apprehended.
Ondo Police spokesman, ASP Tee-Leo Ikoro, confirmed the incident and said it was nemesis that caught up with the robbers.
