The Rivers government says a protester who was allegedly injured from an explosion on Tuesday has been detained.
The injured protester was among political leaders who held a protest march in support of the decision of police officers to occupy the 23 Rivers LGA secretariats.During the protest march, an explosion was said to have occurred at the scene, which left some protesters injured. Confirming the arrest on Wednesday, Oreh told journalists that the suspect was receiving treatment at the Rivers State University Teaching Hospital .The health commissioner said the suspect was brought to the hospital with the claim that he sustained the injuries from a road accident.
