Returned Kogi NLC chairman

The Nigeria Labour Congress , Kogi council on Thursday, lamented the condition of workers in the state.

According to him, workers are owned between seven to 30 months’ salary arrears by the state government. The situation, he said, has made it impossible for them to meet their obligations to their dependants. He appealed to the state government to pay more attention to the welfare of workers, saying that the screening exercise though, desirable, was responsible for the accumulation of backlogs of salary.

The governor who was represented by his Chief of Staff, Chief Edward Onoja, commended the workers for their support to his administration.

Kogi governorship election and Bello's disastrous ruleMr Bello, should he contest, cannot get the votes of Kogi West and Kogi East senatorial districts. It is doubtful whether he can get even half of the votes of his Kogi Central senatorial district, having disgraced them with his incompetence. Kogi east is home to 65% of the voting strength in the State, and the people are still heartbroken for the death of Audu after he got elected, only for Bello to usurped his victory. If OfficialAPCNg failed to pick a candidate from there, they would be doing favors to PDP. Well, he learned from his mentor and benefactor.
