Former Senate President, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki has aired his opinion on the lingering issues concerning restructuring of Nigeria.

According to him, those in government need to ensure that there is development in all parts of the country, insisting that people would not be happy staying together in a country where only one part is being developed. “I think that the government not being able to deliver to the people as regards what their values and expectations are, has made us start looking inward to see that there is something wrong structurally… That’s why you hear people talk about maybe we should give more powers to the states; more powers to the regions.

Speaking further, the former leader of the National Assembly said that states and local governments must begin to address what makes them viable, adding that this will help them generate their revenue. “There was a bill we passed in the eight Senate on how to generate money through road authority. Trying to see if there were certain amounts being paid for road maintenance across the country but it didn’t see the light because of the issue we had at the eight senate.

That is core problem. Injustice, marginalization and arrogance of one section to other ethnic sections, while breathing down on their shoulders that oneness and unity is non negotiatable.

Nigeria can no longer afford 36 States with all of the officials that come with them. Regional restructuring before the country fractures. Stop kidding ourselves that we are a rich Nation. Covid vaccination has clearly drawn the line between rich and poor our record is pitiful!

Saraki cannot even pinpoint the problem bedeviling our country

When they are in government, our unity is non negotiable. When they lose power, they begin to question our unity. Unfortunate idiots!

See how baba want to be president. As senate President, he rejected every move to devolved power to the state and LGs. Buhari also once believed in APC manifestos? He didn't stop there, he set up APC committee on restructuring. Report is ready but refused to implement. Hmmm

Did you say this while in power? Make thunder no jam you oo

I think Justice should begin with the hundreds of TRADEBANK Customers whose hard earnings sank in your family Pocket.

Ask him what effort did he put in as Senate President to help Restructure Nigeria? Restructuring can only be achieved thru the Legislature to be ratified by the Executive not the other way round. Our Politicians and double standard 👇

Are tge people calling for division just
