When PDP member, Ben Igbakpa, raised a point of order calling for a probe, the Deputy Speaker, Ahmed Wase, who presided over the plenary on Wednesday, referred the matter to the House Committee on Ethics and Privileges for investigation.The conglomerate of opposition parties in the House had appointed Ndudi Elumelu as Minority Leader, Toby Okechukwu as Deputy Minority Leader, Gideon Gwani as Minority Whip, and Adesegun Adekoya as Deputy Minority Whip.
However, Chinda had signed at least two statements recently, as the PDP Caucus Leader; Chukwuma Onyema as Deputy Caucus Leader; Umar Barde as Caucus Whip; and Muraina Ajibola as the Deputy Caucus Whip.
