The National Security Council on Friday demanded the reopening of the Obajana cement plant shut by the Kogi State Government last week.

“So, in that regard, the cement industry in Obajana must be reopened and all issues that are in dispute should be resolved legally.”reported that the Kogi State House of Assembly, last week, ordered the closure of the Obajana Cement Plant until it irons out its ownership rift with the Dangote Cement Company.

The state government had claimed that based on available documents, the plant belongs to it 100 per cent, a claim the Dangote Group rebutted. It also insisted that the Kogi State Government is not entitled to dividends. All rights reserved.
