Residents and commuters, yesterday, heaved a sigh of relief as Lagos State governor, Babajide Sanwo Olu, formally commissioned the constructed Akesan-Obadore road in Alimosho Local Council of the state.

Sanwo Olu, who represented at the event by the Special Adviser on Works and Infrastructure, Aramide Adeyoye, said the rehabilitated road would improve connectivity, living conditions of the people across the state, boost trade and commerce, as well as ensure the safety of the commuters and road users.

Also, Permanent Secretary, Office of infrastructure, Daramola Olufemi Olubunmi, said the occasion represented another testament to the state’s unwavering commitment to transform communities through the provision of quality infrastructure that enhance the well being of the citizens and fuel economic growth.

“Akesan-Obadore road is very strategic as it serves as a major thoroughfare connecting the densely populated Akesan/Obadore community to the LASU-Iba road.
