ENUGU- VOTERS Support Group, VSG, one of Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi support groups in this year’s general elections, has disclosed that the Governor’s victory at the poll was made easier with its Permanent Voters Card, PVC, sensitisation campaigns before the election.The group said that with the sensitisation, the Enugu electorates did not only obtain their voter cards but were equally educated on how to vote well at the polls.
He said that one of the reasons for the Thanksgiving was because the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, declared Enugu as first in free and fare elections in Nigeria. Governor Ugwuanyi who was represented in the Thanksgiving Mass by his Deputy, Lolo Cecilia Ezeilo pledged that the administration will not fail the people of Enugu state when it commences the second term administration.The Governor also pledged to continue to ruler with the fear of God, noting that his reelection could not have been achieved without the willing support of the Enugu electorates.
“I thank the people of Enugu state for their support that to an extent that we don’t have political party affliction in the state. Enugu state was adjourned the most peaceful state during and after election and that would not have been possible without the people. Our pledge is that we will govern with fear of God and we will not fail you,” Ugwuanyi said.
