Protesters to Adeboye: speak on killings, ‘persecution’ of Christians

The protesters stormed the National Christian Centre, venue of the 11th General Assembly of the Christian Association of Nigeria in Abuja, the nation’s capital, to register their displeasure over the cleric’s perceived silence on pressing national issues. To ventilate their grievances, they also submitted a protest letter at CAN secretariat and wondered why the RCCG cleric would not like to speak on certain burning issues affecting Christians in Nigeria.

She said: “We are here fighting for the survival of our country. We are in pain; we are in sorrow over the killings, murders and devastating things happening to our children. Asked if CAN would investigate the issues raised about Adeboye, he said: “We are going to do everything. But we cannot suspend Adeboye.”
