President Buhari mourns ‘Daddy’

President Muhammadu Buhari on Sunday mourned Gabriel Igboanugo, a man he fondly called Daddy.

A statement to DAILY POST on Sunday, signed by Femi Adesina, his Spokesman, said that Buhari and his ‘Daddy’ became very close when he was the General Officer Commanding 3rd Armoured Division of the Nigerian Army, Jos, Plateau State. “Pa Igboanugo was the Principal Education Officer at the Command Secondary School, Jos, and had a close and amicable relationship with the then GOC,” the statement said.

The statement said “Lady Margaret Igboanugo, in a private letter to President Buhari, writes: ‘My husband, whom you used to fondly call ‘Daddy,’ passed away the way he lived; peacefully and in comfort, in his home in Ihiala, Anambra State. He will be buried there on Friday, November 27, 2020.”

Bastards mad people

It was the “Daddy” for me too😂

I mourn the passing of Mr. Gabriel Igboanugo, at the age of 95. He was Principal Education Officer at Command Secondary School, Jos, when I was General Officer Commanding (GOC), 3rd Armoured Division in Jos. A very close friend of mine, though much older; I called him “Daddy.”
