Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, before now headed, Economic Management Team.
A statement to DAILY POST on Monday said that the new team is “made up of the following: Prof. Doyin Salami – Chairman; Dr. Mohammed Sagagi – Vice-Chairman; Prof. Ode Ojowu – Member; Dr. Shehu Yahaya – Member; Dr. Iyabo Masha – Member; Prof. Chukwuma Soludo – Member; Mr. Bismark Rewane – Member; Dr. Mohammed Adaya Salisu – Secretary .
“This advisory council will replace the current Economic Management Team and will be reporting directly to the President. “The Economic Advisory Council will advise the President on economic policy matters, including fiscal analysis, economic growth and a range of internal and global economic issues working with the relevant cabinet members and heads of monetary and fiscal agencies.
“The EAC will have monthly technical sessions as well as scheduled quarterly meetings with the President. The Chairman may, however, request for unscheduled meetings if the need arises.”
Right move in a right direction. Nigerians need new hands and ideas to move the country forward.
Long overdue. The *trader-moni* distributor should even be replaced.
The national economic team is different from the economic advisory council..don't' get it twisted.
Your in the right track His Ex. Osinbajo should be dropt else Nigeria economy will totall fail
Can someone please help speak senses into this journalists for God name sake, why don't u seek for the real news before jumping to conclusions. Na wa for u guys ooo
Him never see anything
As usual mischievous headline I’m even happy, the work load on ProfOsinbajo is too much. He is always very busy with all these extra delegated duties. He needs time to rest abeg Let’s not forget he is still the chairman of the National Economic Council (NEC)
What was his reasons? Is he any better than osinbajo?
Professor of failure and disappointment
You guys mist find something to wail on,whi head the economic team since 1999
Osinbajo has done more than enough. He is most trustworthy associate that the burden and bulk work rested on his shoulder. Before now, he has been doing more than constitutional statutory duty and never complain. I doubt if anyone can fill his place or do as much he has done
Fake news
No your headline is wrong It's constitutional, the VPs from 1999 have always been the HEAD of our economic team...and they are always in charge of the economy... Prof ProfOsinbajo still head the Economic Team...dont get it twisted
I'd like to know what the previous economic team achieved before it was dissolved.
The correct headline should be 'BUHARI SACKS OSINBAJO'. For that's what it really is.
Nigeria belongs to all of us. Osibanjo is still the man you will love to hate. But we all owe him a great debt of gratitude for connecting the govt to the grassroots. He is not a machine.
We are all conversant with the duties of the Vice President as provided by the constitution. I think heading the economic team was a defeated work which he has done very well to take Nigeria out of recession caused by the corrupt of the past government
If there are 100 Economic teams, it will remain the constitutional responsibility of the Vice President to manage and steer the economy
Daily Poison of Nigeria. See the right information 👇
Can't u guys just be different for once, must u be involved in every mischieovious news?
It is the constitution right of the Vice President to overseas any economic team of the Nation From 1999 till date, all Nigerian Vice Presidents have always been in charge of the economy, based on convention. So where is MobilePunch getting to with this headlines.
The Vice President has done a very good job steering the country from Recession, he has done a great job ever since his first day on this job, let's be give honor to this Amazing hardworking Man
I know you are using this fake and cheap news to catch the attention of readers but you have missed the road especially any issue relating to VP
Go on with your mischief and let's see where it will lead you. Fools
.........but why do Nigeria and institute of Journalism allow this unprofessional media to be existing again ,everything about the daily Post are fake
How fast this man sell no ne small, anything Osinbajo cashes fire fast than gasoline, he is still the Chairman National Economic Council
That doesn't change the fact that he still chairman the National Economic Council. so mischief makers should stop peddling mischievous and misleading news
You are just spreading misleading information
Professional journalism doesn't give misleading information, The VP is the Chairman, and the president has the power to appoint whoever he wishes. Stop misleading people
Rubbish daily post. Looking for something to talk again
Daily post with wicked caption..una dey mad
What sort of nonsense news is this?! Please make your findings and stop misleading the public
cannot carry last when it comes to mischief making via news headlines 😂😂 Anyways it's a relief for some of us bothered by the work burden of the vice president on so many fronts - economic, security, empowerment etc. We wish the Soludo-Rewane team real well!
Osinbajo still presides over the Economic Management Team, oversees NLTP and NSIPs, just to mention a few.
All these twisting news will not earn you more traffic on your blog, Osinbajo is still the chairman of the National Executive Council.
Daily Rubbish
Why misleading people. VP is the chairman of NEC, so what is the problem
A welcome development 👏👏👏
This people can't make heaven
This is Daily Post Of Rubbish. VP Osinbajo is chairman of National Economic Council and it cannot be dissolved unless by constitution. Stop misleading people now.
Ratchet journalism, ‘dissolves’ to make the news juicy and contentious enough to gain traction and traffic. The creation of the new EAC is a unanimous decision to allay the burdens of the VP to allow for adequate supervision of the NEC and the various NSIPs.
What a headline, must you say nonsense to get traction I advice that you check out thecableng headline and correct yours. Here's the link below 👇
