Port access road: NPA, Works ministry partner to find solution vanguardngr.com vanguardnews

Disclosing this after a tour of the ports in the Western area by Board members for the Authority, chairman of the Board, Emmanuel Olajide Adesoye, said they are working at cushioning the pressure on the roads leading to the port with the rejuvenation of rail lines, the call- up system as well as expansion of the port access roads.

The chairman noted that the management is very much aware of the challenges faced by terminal operators and port users in assessing the port due to the gridlock. According to him, “the board is conscious that badges are currently being used to transfer cargoes from Tin-can and Apapa ports to Ikorodu and Kirikiri Lighter Terminals.” This, according to him, has drastically reduced the congestion affecting service delivery at the seaports.
