The Nigeria Police Force has presented N51,066,945.34 to families of 13 deceased police officers in Kogi State.

The Commissioner of Police in Kogi State, Akeem Yusuf while speaking at the cheque presentation to the next of kin of the deceased officers in Lokoja, on Wednesday described the loss of the deceased personnel as unfortunate and painful. He disclosed that the money was part of the Group Life Assurance scheme for families of late Police officers.

He urged the beneficiaries not to misuse the money but make judicious use of it for the betterment of their families. The beneficiaries, however, appreciated the kind gesture and promised to make use of the money for the benefits of their families.
