Yobe State Police Command said it has nabbed a 23-year-old suspect who specialised in vandalizing electricity power cables in Damaturu and its environs. The Command's Public Relations Officer, DSP Dungus Abdulkarim, made this known in a statement issued on Friday and made available to DAILY POST. He said that the arrest followed numinous reports of vandalization of electricity power distribution cables and other important accessories received by the command from different communities.
'The suspect was arrested among two other syndicate members who evaded arrest and fled. The command has begun a swift chase to arrest them soon', DSP Abdulkarim said. According to him the arrested suspect confessed to having vandalized an electricity transformer situated at the state low-cost via Gujba Road, Damaturu.
