The notorious criminals were reportedly killed by men of the Inspector General of Police , monitoring unit, during a gun dual in the kidnappers’ cave in a forest in Obio/ Akpor Local Government Area of the state earlier hours of Friday morning.on Friday, the state commissioner of Police , Musa Belel said several dangerous weapons including four AK-47 rifle, one pump action magazine, locally made pistol among others were recovered from the gang, during the operation.
Speaking further Belel disclosed that, the IGP Monitoring Unit led by the Commander, Adaka Justin, stormed a criminal hideout in Eneka, Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of the state, where the bandits were hibernating. Also, two female kidnap victims were rescued by the state Anti-Kidnap Unit led by the Commander, SP Edward Shadare, in a forest in Emohua Local Government Area of the State.
