Ogun State Police Command says it has killed two suspected kidnappers terrorizing travellers on the Sagamu-Ijebu Ode-Benin expressway in a gun duel. The command's spokesperson, SP Omolola Odutola, revealed this in a statement on Tuesday.

The command's spokesperson, SP Omolola Odutola, revealed this in a statement on Tuesday. According to her, the suspects were killed during a rescue operation carried out by personnel of the command to rescue some abducted Indian nationals.

Odutola explained that the Manager of Breeze Company Nigeria Limited located on the Ibadan-Lagos expressway had on Saturday made a distress call to the Divisional Police Officer, Mowe Divisional Headquarters. She said the distress call was to alert the DPO that a gang of kidnappers had opened fire on two vehicles conveying his principals at Kajola junction, along Sagamu -Siun- Abeokuta expressway.
