Operatives of the Bauchi State Police Command have gunned down 10 suspected terrorists and rescued 39 victims in Yankari Forest.In a statement by the Police Public Relations Officer of the Bauchi State Command, Ahmed Wakili, a preliminary investigation revealed that about 24 kidnappers invaded the Gaji community on Thursday last week.
The statement explained that the assailants reportedly targeted some businessmen returning from the Mararaban Liman Katagum Market and whisked them away to a place known as the Red Mountain in Yankari Forest. The statement further explained that the kidnappers demanded N50 million each as ransom before they were rescued through an operation by the security personnel on Friday.
