The Command’s Public Relations Officer, ASP Abubakar Sadiq Aliyu, confirmed the arrests in a statement.
The statement reads: “On May 1st, 2024, at about 06:30 hours, the command arrested 45-year-old Sabi’u Musa in connection with a suspected case of armed robbery and car theft. “Acting swiftly, detectives received a report on the theft of a Lexus saloon car at gunpoint in neighboring Kano State. They located the vehicle on the Katsina-Jiba road and, in collaboration with Nigeria Customs Service personnel on duty, arrested Musa in possession of the stolen car.“Similarly, on April 27, 2024, at about 08:30 hours, the command’s Anti-Kidnapping Unit received information about a stolen Vibe saloon car from Kano State.
