The Kogi State Police Command has announced the arrest of 10 robbery and kidnapping kingpins.

The command said in a statement in Lokoja on Tuesday that the arrest was a result of its continuous onslaught against kidnappers, bandits and other criminals in the state.

“The crime prevention and control strategies adopted by the command through intensive patrol, raids on identified criminal hideouts as well as intelligence led to the arrest of 10 suspected criminal elements terrorising innocent people of the state,” Aya stated. Items recovered from the suspects include one locally-made pistol, one cut-to-size locally-made single-barrelled gun, seven live cartridges and some of the victims’ property.
