Kunle DaramolaAtiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party , was among dignitaries who attended the swearing-in of Ademola Adeleke as the governor of Osunpolled 403,371 votes to defeat Gboyega Oyetola of the All Progressives Congress who secured 375,027 votes.
During the inauguration ceremony which held on Sunday in Osogbo, also in attendance were Iyorchia Ayu, the national chairman of the party; and Ifeanyi Okowa, PDP vice-presidential candidate. Three PDP governors — Duoye Diri of Bayelsa, Udom Emmanuel of Akwa Ibom, and Godwin Obaseki of Edo — were also among the party stakeholders
