The Speaker, Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Alhaji Ibrahim Abdullahi, has expressed satisfaction with the peaceful conduct of the All Progressives Congress ward congress in Toto Local Government Area of the state.

The speaker made the commendation late on Saturday while speaking with newsmen after the exercise in Toto.Abdullahi, who is the party leader for the congress in the area, said the success achieved in the exercise was a clear demonstration of unity and understanding among members of the party and called for its sustenance.“We adopted a consensus option of affirmation to elect the ward executives.

“This is in the interest of peace, stability and for the overall development of the party, the state and the country at large,” he said.The state’s number three citizen expressed his happiness over the entire process and how all interests across polling units were adequately represented. Abdullahi congratulated all the new ward executive members, urging them to justify the confidence reposed on them.Besides, he appealed to residents of the state to support Gov. Abdullahi Sule’s administration to succeed beyond 2023 in order for them to enjoy more dividends of democracy.

The speaker further advised the people to be law-abiding, live peacefully with one another irrespective of their affiliations, saying this will make development to thrive.
