The Governor received the rescued kidnapped victims at the Government House in Gusau, the state capital.He assured that his administration will not rest on its oar until total peace is achieved in all parts of the state.
The Governor further explained that, the peace accord and reconciliation process with repentant bandits will be sustained in the state, pointing out that those unrepentant bandits would face the full wrath of the law. Earlier, the State Commissioner of Security and Home Affairs, Alhaji Abubakar Dauran told the Governor that, the victims were released as a result of the Governor’s peace initiative and following a stakeholders meeting summoned by Governor Matawalle with all the critical stakeholders from Bukkuyum local Government Area.
“Zamfara state is very much tired of all these killings and kidnappings everywhere because it has become a source of shame to a state that first implemented the Shari’a legal system in the whole country” he lamented.
Peace accord with who? Bandits/terrorists. EndSARS are the main problem you don't have peace accord with such people. You arrest them, deny them bail, free their account etc. Terrorists and bandits must be proud of this government.
