Senator Jibril Walid, a second republic Senator and Chairman, Board of Trustees , People’s Democratic Party , has expressed confidence that the determination of the party to find solutions to the ongoing insecurity in the country will make many Nigerians abandon the All Progressives Congress .
Senator Walid said, “We in the People’s Democratic Party are very careful and hopeful about the achievements and industrial development of Nigeria.” He opined that with the present insecurity in the country, every common man and woman knows that Nigeria is in a big problem under the current government, adding that Nigeria is in a state of disarray, but a good political party and a good government can solve this problem of insecurity.
He observed that if government policy is consistent, Nigeria wouldn’t have been where it is today, stressing that every policy needs to be consistent for a period of five years running. He noted that in those days of the great leaders like Ahmadu Bello, Nnamdi Azikiwe and Obafemi Awolowo, among others, there was competition over industrialisation of the North, the West, and the Eastern zones, lamenting that today Nigerians lament the comatose industries in the country.
