Former Benue State Governor, Senator Gabriel Suswam has said he is vying for the national chairmanship of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, to complete the tenure of ousted Dr Iyorchia Ayu which belongs to Benue and North Central.

Suswam disclosed this on Friday in Katsina-Ala when he met with Benue North East PDP expanded caucus to intimate them of his intention. He said he has consulted and gotten blessings of leaders of the party in the state, including former governor Samuel Ortom, Sen. David Mark, Sen Abba Moro and the State Working Committee, SWC, of the PDP.

Suswam said that as a committed and loyal member of the party, he had always given his support to the party and was ready to unite it and mobilise for the party ahead of the 2027 elections. He called on all to bury the hatchet over the past general elections and come together as one family to move the party forward as the PDP remains the only viable vehicle that can lead Nigeria to the promising land.
