PDP, INEC disagree over supplementary election in Ondo South vanguardngr.com vanguardnews

The party state chairman, Clement Faboyede described the exercise as unnecessary and waste of resources.

Briefing newsmen in Akure, the Resident Electoral Commissioner, REC, in Ondo State, Dr. Rufus Akeju listed the affected five local governments to include Odigbo, Okitipupa, Irele, Ilaje and Eseodo. Akeju said that the supplementary election would take place simultaneously with the House of Assembly election in the state.Faboyede argued that the difference in the vote scored by its candidate, Nicholas Tofowomo and the APC candidate, Yele Omogunwa was 27,036.

He said that 28, 300 voters were registered in the 56 units while only 24, 760 have collected their PVC in the affected areas. He argued that the party was kept in the dark on the distribution of electoral materials for the supplementary election in the said areas.
