The Lagos State Government has urged internal auditors in the state to pay adequate attention to their mental health in order to remain productive at their duty posts and also contribute their quota to the present administration.

The Special Adviser to Lagos State Governor on Central Internal Audit, Mr Abayomi Oluyomi, said this on Wednesday during a Mental Wellness workshop organised by the Office of Internal Audit for all internal auditors in the state. He said, “This workshop is pertinent for auditors particularly and for members of staff generally to gain insight into what is required to have work-life balance and mental wellness for increased productivity.”

“The workshop is premised on the belief that if auditors are mentally alert, their mandate of checking excesses and financial recklessness would be carried out effortlessly, efficiently and effectively.
