Panic has set in among prospective corps members in Zamfara State following the abduction of some of their colleagues on their way to their orientation camp in Tsafe Local Government Area of the state.
The police spokesperson in the state, Muhammad Shehu, in a statement, said the police commissioner in the state, Ayuba Elkana, has visited the camp and assured NYSC officials of the safety of corps members in the camp.
It would be recalled that on 19th October, 2021, at about 2230 hours, a Vehicle with Reg. Number GBK 339 ZY was blocked by armed bandits while travelling from Benue to Sokoto State at near Wanzamai Village in Tsafe LGA. As a result, passengers whose identity unknown, were abducted.

If you haven't realised that our leaders are cruel despicable human beings who do not care about the common man, and you'd rather risk your life than act accordingly (redeploy at all possible costs or jettison nysc till you can get a safe posting), then I have no words for you.
I think it's dumb to have allowed NYSC members in those terrorised northern states. But I think the corps members who have gone there are really dumb!

Allowee should not make you southerners risk your life unnecessary. Zamfara that is hotspot for bandit and they foolishly went there. Who doesn't know that those places are no go areas.
Don't restructure NYSC,scrap/abolish it. The conditions under which it was formed has bn eroded,it is now a threat to existence of graduates in the programme. With Nigeria debt portfolio,NYSC is never a priority anymore.
