The state’s Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters, Olusegun Olayiwola, who confirmed this to journalists, yesterday, said the letter of nomination of Olakulehin was received from the Ibadan South East Local Council.
Olakulehin, who is from Okugbaja lineage in Ita Baale area in Ibadan North East Local Council of the state, was nominated last Friday during a meeting chaired by the Otun Olubadan of Ibadanland, Senator Rashidi Ladoja. Debt servicing may have been responsible for the dipping of Nigeria's foreign reserves from $34.45 billion to $32.61 billion within one month. Specifically, about $1.8 billion was spent from the foreign reserve within the period.
