The Oyo State Police command has confirmed the clash that occurred between some youths in Ibadan.
DAILY POST recalls that a clash that broke out between some youths in Opopo Yeosa, Abebi and Inanlende areas in Ibadan resulted in the death of no fewer than six people.Many people were reportedly killed while many were also injured., a resident of Inalende however said that twelve people were killed.
The Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Mr. Adewale Osifeso, in a statement made available to DAILY POST on Friday, said that additional police officers have been deployed to the troubled areas.“The story is true. Investigations are ongoing to establish the number of casualties and circumstances that led to the incident.“You would be updated in due course, please.”
