The gubernatorial candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in the yesterday’s election in Oyo State, Engineer Seyi Makinde, has won his local government area for his party.
Makinde, who voted at unit 1, ward 11 in Ibadan North East Local government area on Saturday had earlier delivered his polling unit for the PDP. The results announced at the INEC state headquarters in Ibadan, Sunday morning indicated that Makinde won the local government area with 30,824 to defeat the APC candidate, Mr. Adebayo Adelabu, who scored a total of 12,553 votes in the local government area.
Others at the collation centre included; Resident Electoral Commissioner in the state, Barrister Mutiu Agboke and heads of security agencies.
