Biodun Oyebanji, the candidate of the All Progressives Congress , has taken an early lead in the governorship election of Ekiti state.The latter is the LGA of Ayo Fayose, former governor of Ekiti state, who is backing Bisi Kolawole, the Peoples Democratic Party flagbearer.
In Ekiti West, Oyebanji secured 15,322 votes to defeat Kolawole who had 3,386 and Oni who polled 3,863 votes.
