The Inter Party Advisory Council in Osun Stare has rejected the nominees of Governor Ademola Adeleke as chairman of the Osun Independent Electoral Commission . Osun IPAC , in rejecting the OSIEC nominees as constituted by the state governor, maintained that it is a desecration of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria , adding that they can not conduct a credible election in the state.
According to the statement, “Barrister Abioye lacks proven honesty to lead the commission and should therefore be disqualified by the House of Assembly. “The brazen imposition of a card-carrying member and prominent member of the PDP in Osun State is distasteful, to say the least.
